Callum May is the creator of a famous YouTube channel called The Canipa Effect, this channel is dedicated to create in depth analysis about anime series, movies, animation studios and animators as well. Even though Callum is not an animator nor an illustrator he has extensive knowledge on the techniques and principles used to create amazing scenes to the point that his understanding goes many times beyond of what many working animators currently have.

Callum May created The Canipa Effect in 2014 and since then has been highly recognized and viewed by professionals both in the US animation industry and the Japanese animation industry, he is also a features writer for Anime News Network and previously worked as a video editor for Crunchyroll and Otaquest, his banner was designed and illustrated by Leva Sau.
